- Condition: This matchbook is vintage, certainly not "new," but it is not "used" either. It is in very good condition, with all the artsy matches (with wine bottle designs) intact. The covers of the matchbook are not tearing apart, and the striker pad is in nice shape, with some light rust on the staple holding the pad to the covers. The covers have some modest edge wear. Overall, very nice!

Up for auction is a vintage matchbook for Cooper’s Restaurant and Tavern in Put-in-Bay, Ohio.
The matchbook is in very nice condition and has all 15 original matches, each match designed to look like a wine bottle.
The outside front covers have sketch art of the restaurant, while an inside cover promotes “Island Wines, Grape Juice, Champagne, Beer and Fine Foods.”
The cleverly-made matches are firmly attached to the striker pad and matchbook by a staple.
